Welcome!
In continuous use since 1904, Secrest Arboretum consists of over 100 acres of display gardens, woodlands, and research areas. Secrest’s documented plant collection includes over 4,000 different types of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials, exhibiting the diverse range of plants suitable (or potentially suitable) for outdoor cultivation in northeast Ohio and similar regions. As part of The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), the arboretum serves as a living resource for education and training, plant-related research, and outreach to Ohio’s horticulture industry, residents, and beyond.
The gardens and grounds are open every day of the year from dawn to dusk. Admission and parking are free of charge.
